2025/04/28: As it is weekend, the hotel room price around will be a little high. We are pleased to have a special price on The Mark Grand Hotel, this is the hotel for the Banquet dinner, and we are planning to put the whole conference to this hotel. We will be noticed in the middle of May. Hotel information is updated. Please check the General Information Page.

2025/03/11: Full paper submission deadline is extended to 3/30. Please submit your full paper to here. Please using our format here for your full paper. Please be noticed that if the author is not submitted the full paper or registered the paper, it will not show on the program of the symposium. Each paper should have one author registered to the conference.
The registration will start from 3/30, dead line for early bird registration is 5/1, and regular registration deadline is 6/30
2025/01/22: All authors who submitted the abstracts are invited to submit full paper by 3/10, using the format and the registration ID through the paper submission page. The registration ID was sent to authors when you submitted the abstract. Full paper will not be published or can be shown online as publications, just for reference of the participants. But all the submitted full paper will be invited to submit to full paper to a special collection of UBLL.
2024/12/10: Abstract Deadline is extended again to 10th Janurary 2025, this will be the final deadline for abstract. All accepted abstract are invited to submit your full paper.
2024/12/01: All selected full papers will be invited to a special collection of Urban Lifeline.
2024/11/16: Abstract deadline was extended to 2024/12/13.

WELCOME

Welcome to the International Symposium on Urban Lifeline ISUL 2025.

This international symposium was hosted by the international open access journal Urban Lifeline published by Springer to connect the researchers and experts of sustainable and smart construction and maintenance of urban lifelines.

The first ISUL was hosted by Southeast University in Nanjing, China 2024.

With the success of the first one, the second ISUL was decided to be hosted in Saitama University in Saitama Japan from July 18-20, 2025. This symposium will be continued to welcome experts, visionaries, and thought leaders from around the world to share state of art knowledge, findings, and ideas.

This symposium provides a unique platform for renowned researchers and thought leaders to explore the multifaceted dimensions of urban lifelines, with a specific focus on sustainability, safety, resilience, and intelligence. By fostering collaboration, we aim to advance our collective understanding of this essential field.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite you to be a part of this remarkable endeavor. Join us in Saitama as we work together to shape the future of urban lifelines, fostering sustainability, enhancing safety, building resilience, and harnessing the power of intelligence in our urban environments.

The symposium will focus on the safety, resilience, intelligence, and sustainable development of urban lifelines, with topics including but not limited to:
